There are a number of local footpaths and bridleways close by, and 2 newly developed fishing lakes within the village with coarse fishing available on a day ticket basis. Lakes are stocked with carp, rud and tench. Other local attractions include Twin Lakes Park, recently opened September 2003, within 4 miles of the cottage.
